Ingredients

2 cups of rice (long grain or basmati )

1/2 teaspoon salt

4 cups of water
Method
of cooking white rice
1. First
and foremost, wash your rice with cold and transfer to a sieve set aside.
2. Secondly,
bring your 2 cups of water to a boil, pour in the rice, stir and cover to cook
for about 10 minutes. (This part is optional else cook straight away to tender
and soft).
3. Thirdly,
remove and sieve out the water, rinse in cold water severally until water comes
out clean.
4. Finally,
bring the remaining 2 cups of water to boil, stir in the already parboil rice
into the pot, add salt stir and cook to tender for another 10-15 minutes.
Yummy white rice on the stovetop is ready to eat.
