How to Make Nigerian Tomato Stew Recipe

Ingredients

·         1 kg Beef

·         4 cups fresh tomatoes

·         5 pieces of Red bell pepper (Tatashe)

·         1/2 cup fresh pepper

·         2 large onions

·         1/2 teaspoon curry

·         1/2 teaspoon thyme

·         1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

·         1/2 teaspoon ginger

·         1/2 teaspoon garlic

·         1 tablespoon crayfish

·         2 seasoning cube

·         1 cup oil for Frying


Instructions

1.       First of all, cut and wash the meat, spice with chopped onions, salt, seasoning cube, garlic, and ginger; add little quantity of water and boil to tender. Fry the meat and keep aside.

2.       Secondly, wash the tomatoes, pepper, red bell pepper (tatashe), onions and blend to smooth paste. in a clean pot, pour the blended tomatoes inside and cook until the water dries; remove and set aside.

3.       Thirdly, place a clean pot on fire to dry, pour in the vegetable oil, allow to heat, then sprinkle in your slice onions and stir fry for 30 seconds.

4.       Stir in the already boiled tomatoes and fry, stir constantly to avoid burning as the consistency reduce in size and no more trace of juices water in it.

5.       The next step is to add the meat stock, seasoning cube, crayfish, nutmeg and little more quantity of water. Cook for about 7 minutes and remove from heat.
